    1. "Furiously Happy" was great! It's definitely got a more serious side -- and more real substance -- to it than "Let's Pretend," but it was still funny and I loved it!

  3. Thank you for this list. Just last week I asked my peeps on FB for some light easy read recommends. I've just come off a streak of horrible books and needed something easy. I've put several of these on my goodreads queue.

    1. Sorry you haven't had good reading luck lately -- my year started off that way. Just a bunch of mediocre stuff. Hopefully something fun, charming and/or quirky can help you avert a (*whispers*) reading slump. :)

Have you read "Furiously Happy"? I like that cover even better -- the overjoyed taxidermied raccoon just makes me chuckle!

    1. Apparently not everyone liked the way "Kitchens" was written -- which is kind of unique -- but I really enjoyed it! It was such a fun book.

    1. Definitely! It had some poignant moments and "lessons learned," but it was mostly a riot!

  10. Good list! I have A. J. Fikry on my Kindle as well as in paperback, and I keep meaning to read it, but it keeps getting pushed aside. I think I'll display it prominently on my TBR shelf so I finally get around to it.
