Great list!! I haven't read The Undomestic Goddess yet, but I love Sophie and that book is on my TBR list. November 9 is another one I plan on reading. I'm happy to see that you enjoyed them!!

I laughed SO hard reading Let's Pretend This Never Happened. I really need to get my hands on her latest...
ReplyDelete"Furiously Happy" was great! It's definitely got a more serious side -- and more real substance -- to it than "Let's Pretend," but it was still funny and I loved it!
DeleteThank you for this list. Just last week I asked my peeps on FB for some light easy read recommends. I've just come off a streak of horrible books and needed something easy. I've put several of these on my goodreads queue.
ReplyDeleteSorry you haven't had good reading luck lately -- my year started off that way. Just a bunch of mediocre stuff. Hopefully something fun, charming and/or quirky can help you avert a (*whispers*) reading slump. :)
DeleteI loved the Repo Man book. Thank heavens the next one is coming out this summer. I also enjoyed Let's Pretend This Never Happened. I can't help but laugh every time I see the cover.
ReplyDeleteA sequel!? I didn't even know that!
DeleteHave you read "Furiously Happy"? I like that cover even better -- the overjoyed taxidermied raccoon just makes me chuckle!
Great list! I love so many of these books! I need to read Kitchens of the Great Midwest.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! It's always good to have some go-to light and easy reads for when you just need something simple :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I love your list! Bernadette, One Plus One, and Fikry are terrific reads. I need to read Kitchens of the Midwest soon! I'm glad I found your blog, and thanks for stopping by mine! -Laila @Big Reading Life
ReplyDeleteApparently not everyone liked the way "Kitchens" was written -- which is kind of unique -- but I really enjoyed it! It was such a fun book.
DeleteGreat books! I've been meaning to read The Dud Avocado for a long time! Glad it's considered light.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It had some poignant moments and "lessons learned," but it was mostly a riot!
DeleteThe Storied Life has been on my TBR list for forever! I really need to get to it. My TTT
ReplyDeleteIt's a great read for people who love books! I think you'll enjoy it. :)
DeleteGood list! I have A. J. Fikry on my Kindle as well as in paperback, and I keep meaning to read it, but it keeps getting pushed aside. I think I'll display it prominently on my TBR shelf so I finally get around to it.
