14 Books On My Fall Reading List

Happy almost-fall, fellow bookworms! Reading is awesome in every season, but there's just something about fall that makes me feel like cozying up with a book (the spookier, the better!), a cup of coffee and a warm blanket. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic, provided by the ladies at The Broke and the Bookish, is about the books we're hoping to read this fall.

I had plenty of books to choose from -- my Goodreads to-read list is now at a whopping 438 books -- and it was hard to narrow down the ones I want to read right now (because, obviously, I want to read them all right now!). I ended up with a nice mix of old, new and upcoming books (plus the five leftover from my fail of a summer TBR list), including some fiction, mysteries and non-fiction. I'm participating in R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril (R.I.P. X) this fall and I've got several books on my list that'll fit the required bill of mystery, suspense, horror, etc.

Do tell: what books will you be snuggling up with this fall? Does fall put you in the mood for creepy mysteries and gothic page-turners like it does me?

 For R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril (to read by October 31):

  2. I've got Orphan Train, Thirteenth Tale, and a Curious Beginning on my TBR list as well, though not on this week's list. (My Goodreads to-be-read shelf is currently at 1422 lol... which is pretty much insanity.) The cover for Furiously Happy cracks me up every time I see it haha :) My TTT

    1. 1422! Thank you for making me not feel so bad about my list! ;) I love the cover of "Furiously Happy" too -- that raccoon is just adorably wacky! And it reminds of the taxidermy story from the first book.

  3. Wow! Vicious and After You, hope you enjoy them. Is that last one a Manga?

    1. It's a graphic novel, not Japanese though so I don't think it counts as manga. People really seem to love it so I figured it'd be a good place to dive into a new genre!

  4. I really really want to read Vicious as well! I heard so many amazing things about this novel and the author that I NEED TO see what's the hype is all about. In the Woods sounds pretty good as well, will definitely add it to my TBR list. :)
    Great list!

    1. I'm excited about "A Curious Beginning." I've been meaning to check out Deanna Raybourn for ages and the beginning of a new series seems like the perfect opportunity! I'm glad you enjoyed so many of my upcoming reads -- I really think I'll love them too. Fingers crossed for lots of 5-star reviews!
